Aerobar RS – Powered by Hydrocinch®
AK Durable Supply Co. is stoked to announce our collaboration with Hydrocinch® licensing Hydrocinch® patented technology. We are excited to partner with a company that has a shared passion for water sports, and a commitment to innovation in product design. Both brands are committed to bring about advancements in harness design for water sports enthusiasts.
Hydrocinch® is a wind sport tech company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was founded by Corey Gerhart, a kite instructor, and Greg Marquardt, an automotive design engineer. The founders bring both their experience and passion for kiteboarding, along with over 30 years of engineering expertise.
“The AK Collective is excited to work with Corey and Greg, and incorporate Hydrocinch®’s innovative technology into our Aerobar RS. We welcome the shared vision and innovation that Hydrocinch® brings to the table, and their commitment to advancing technology and design, enhancing the features and performance of the Aerobar RS.” – Clinton Filen, AK Durable Supply Co., Brand Director.
Hydrocinch®’s patented intellectual property incorporates Ride-Loc technology. This technology utilizes a geometric advantage that is micro-adjustable under load, and repeatable, specifically controlling the spreader bar pivot, addressing common issues in kiteboarding and windsurfing harnesses, and enhancing the overall experience for water sports enthusiasts.
“As harness design undergoes rapid evolution, we turn to pioneering companies like AK Durable Supply Co., renowned for their forward-thinking approach and dedication to enhancing the rider experience. We eagerly anticipate further integration of design elements as part of our enduring licensing agreement. We wholeheartedly embrace AK’s innovation and value the aligned vision we share, as reflected in their exceptional product range.” – Corey Gerhart & Greg Marquardt, Hydrocinch® founders.
